This fall CardioFlex Therapy’s Physical and Occupational Therapists participated in the ART IN THE PARK event, created for all members of the community by the Plantation Junior Woman’s Club Foundation. All proceeds went to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Every year the women of Plantation Junior Woman’s Club holds its general meeting at Make-A-Wish headquarters, “a reminder that it was one of our very own Junior’s that started the South Florida Chapter of Make-A-Wish. Being able to see first hand where the wishes are granted is remarkable, but what is more fascinating is to see how little they need in order to do so, their office is very humble and full of positive messages and inspirational quotes” explains one of the ladies.
This year the event was a huge success, celebrated at the grounds of the Liberty Tree Park in Plantation, Florida. The 53rd annual arts festival was held on Saturday and Sunday, October 26th & 27th. CardioFlex Physical Therapy Davie participated by setting up a tent to bring awareness to what Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy is, and what it can do to people’s health. Our team held short competitions on cardio exercises that demonstrated the need for fitness-for-wellness.
